Our Programs

At our transition center, we help young adults that are struggling with anxiety, depression, gaming and other motivational issues. We provide personalized academic, therapeutic, and social support in a real-world setting, which gives our students the skills to reach their fullest potential. They attend college and benefit from group and individual therapy, 24/7 availability of mentor support, activities and social events. We empower students to regain a sense of confidence, independence, and health as they move forward in life.

Cascade Programs serve adolescents with severe anxiety and OCD related disorders, and common co-occurring comorbidities in a residential setting. Cascade Programs are committed to utilizing researched and evidence based clinical interventions: Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Inference Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RODBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). Individual, family, group and recreational therapy, along with individualized, sequential exposures are a key component of treatment.

Cascade Programs teach healthy relationships with technology and implement daily wellness. A focus on a healthy balance emotionally, socially, mentally and physically is at the core of programming. By design there is no level system, and each treatment plan is individualized and focuses on addressing avoidance. Cascade Programs provide students with a dynamic academic experience with an emphasis on addressing school avoidance issues through ERP based principles that teach students to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

Corner Canyon Health Centers is a boutique, trauma-focused treatment program for adults, specializing in trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, and more. We offer comprehensive, innovative assessments—including DNA testing, brain scans, hormone panels, and psychological evaluations—to develop deeply individualized treatment plans. Our care integrates research-backed therapies such as EMDR, ART, IFS, CPT, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing with cutting-edge approaches like Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Stellate Ganglion Block, and Somatic Therapy. We also include Yoga, Equine Therapy, Sound Bowl Healing, and Nutritional Psychiatry. We prioritize holistic healing, clinical excellence, and compassionate care. Our highly trained team provides a safe, supportive environment and stays current with the latest research to deliver the most effective, evidence-based treatment. Discovery Ranch, established in 2005, combines the power of traditional therapies, such as DBT, EMDR, Art, and Music, along with our experiential therapies, like Equine and Rec therapy, to create a clinically sophisticated, relationship-based residential treatment center for boys ages 13-18. Research shows this is the best approach to help boys and families heal mentally, physically, and emotionally. Every part of Discovery Ranch, from the amazing campus to the nationally accredited Academic Program, helps to promote growth and healing.

While enrolled at Discovery Ranch, boys will experience a safe and structured environment. They will have opportunities for growth through our experiential campus, by developing new skills and interests. Boys will take part in equine therapy and horsemanship programs and will have the responsibility of caring for a rescued baby calf. These experiences help teach our students values like Responsibility, Grit, Honesty, Respect, Courage, Kindness, and Accountability.

Located in the unmatched beauty of south-central Utah, Elements offers an outdoor therapy program designed for adolescent males and young adults of all genders. Our approach blends adventure activities and outdoor living with therapy, creating an immersive experience that fosters personal growth. In addition to a robust program for individuals, Elements includes a full family support program with weekly groups and resources in addition to direct visits and family systems therapy. Our setting in the outdoors is rich with life metaphors that can be used to great effect by well-trained staff and a skilled therapist. Our clients have long sought distraction to avoid taking responsibility for their actions. That is why we believe a comprehensive clinical program set in a healthy environment free of distractions provides the best space for our clients to come to real understanding of their role in their life. The dynamic pace of outdoor life provides constant opportunities to experiment with new and healthier ways of coping with social and emotional stressors. Elements offers 3 small, specialized programs: Elements: for adolescent males; Eclipse: hybrid program for neurodiverse adolescent males; and Traverse: co-ed treatment for clinically complex young adults.

Located in Springville, Utah, our residential treatment center is nestled in the foothills of the awe-inspiring Wasatch Mountains, right in Hobble Creek Canyon. Our beautiful, serene location near the Springville freshwater springs provides the perfect setting for adolescent and teen girls, including those who identify as nonbinary or are a part of the LGBTQ+ community, to heal and grow. The home-like environment offers an oasis removed from city life but is just 55 miles away from Salt Lake City for group activities and events.

Elevate Academy is a residential treatment program dedicated to helping struggling teens heal and thrive. We provide a safe, supportive environment where adolescents can begin a journey of self-discovery and inner growth. Specializing in the treatment of complex and specific trauma, Elevate uses the ARC Framework to strengthen attachment, improve self-regulation, and build the skills necessary for lifelong success. Our students often face mood and anxiety disorders, attachment and adoption challenges, school avoidance, learning differences, and behaviors such as defiance, self-harm, or mild aggression. Some may also struggle with substance use. These teens benefit most from an intensive, structured setting designed to meet their unique emotional and developmental needs.

Gateway Academy serves adolescent males and transgender youth ages 14-18. Gateway’s individualized, evidence-based, mental health treatment provides integrated care and academic support to teens and families. Gateway students struggle with depression, anxiety, impulsivity and attention problems, school refusal, screen dependence, social and nonverbal learning difficulties, diminished self-esteem, relationship problems, identity and development issues, executive functioning, and academic deficits. They tend to be bright and behaviorally soft, yet clinically complex. Students weekly individual and family therapy, daily specialized groups, and on-site psychiatric services as needed. The academic program combines robust academics with evidence based learning strategies and supports. Highly credentialed clinicians work with educators to ensure that academics, therapy and experiential activities are dynamically integrated. Outdoor activities and community immersion solidify therapeutic gains with activities intentionally designed to allow students to test clinical gains. Gateway is located in an urban community to ensure access to community-based activities and resources.

Kaizen Academy is a residential treatment center located in Payson, Utah. Working with young men (ages 13-18) who are struggling with Sexual Behavior Problems. These boys often deal with trauma, attachment issues, social difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and/or other complex challenges.  Each boy that admits at Kaizen Academy goes through a thorough, arbitrary and independent assessment by an outside professional that measures level of risk and determines placement appropriateness, all while being involved in everyday activities and programming. With our heavy focus on creating a healthy family system, Kaizen is designed to help each boy and family have a uniquely crafted experience that will be the most beneficial to help support them through treatment while at our program and moving forward with life. In addition to our clinical work, Kaizen is committed to experiential and high adventure activities to help our boys develop confidence and a deeper sense of self. Boys at our facility will participate in mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, fishing, camping and many other recreational and confidence building activities. The mission of Kaizen is to help every child feel deeply loved, highly valued and securely connected. 

New Focus Academy(NFA) and Life Focus Transitions(LiFT) is committed to providing the highest quality service to adolescents ages 12-18 and young adults ages 17.5-26. NFA and LiFT provide a physically and emotionally safe environment for adolescents with cognitive and social limitations. Our focus is on assisting these residents with learning how to function better in daily life. Most students/clients are on the Autism Spectrum with several other co-occurring struggles; cognitive, learning, psychiatric, and emotional difficulties. The average length of stay is 12-18 months.

With the mission statement of ‘Supporting independence and quality of life for students with neurodivergent minds,’ students have an expert, dedicated team ready to assess and support their unique abilities and needs. The vision for our students is to provide differentiated instruction in a supportive environment that promotes self-determination, resiliency, and excellence in learning. Our curriculum teaches neurodiverse students essential skills that transfer into real-world applications as they work towards academic success. Our focus is on developing a fluent approach in working with the social and practical situations of life.

New Haven is a residential treatment center and college-prep boarding school for girls ages 14–18, serving families since 1995. We help students heal from trauma and mental health challenges while also supporting their families. Our students often struggle with issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, attachment difficulties, eating disorders, and personality disorders—many face multiple concerns at once. Though bright and capable, they arrive overwhelmed by emotional pain and behavioral challenges that disrupt daily life.

Our experienced team creates lasting results: 85% of graduates never need another residential placement. We treat each student within the context of their family system, promoting healing for everyone involved. 

Our Stabilization & Assessment program supports adolescent girls in acute crisis, whether transitioning from hospital care or struggling at home. This short-term, structured setting offers safety, emotional stabilization, and expert clinical assessment. Many participants are facing depression, identity challenges, or self-injurious behaviors that make it difficult to function.

We provide compassionate care, in-depth evaluation, and clear recommendations for next steps. At New Haven, we guide each student toward greater stability and long-term healing, ensuring they and their families are equipped for a healthier future.

Oasis Ascent is a 60- to 90-day residential treatment program for teens ages 12 to 17, providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health services for families in crisis. Our team of expert professionals helps families rebuild trust and strengthen relationships while their teen receives intensive support in our structured, therapeutic setting. We offer individual, family, and group therapy, along with 24-hour care to ensure a safe and healing environment. Teens undergo medical examinations, biopsychosocial assessments, and psychological assessments (if needed), which help our multidisciplinary team create an individualized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs. Oasis Ascent is an affordable option for families seeking inpatient care, working with most major insurance providers and offering private pay options. Our mission is to provide teens and their families a place of refuge and healing, offering guidance, support, and hope for a brighter future.

Oxbow Academy is a specialized residential treatment center that helps adolescent boys struggling with sexual behavioral issues, neurodiversity, and trauma. Using a research-based, individualized approach, Oxbow provides therapy, education, and life skills training in a structured, supportive environment. Their multidisciplinary team integrates clinical therapy, academic support, and experiential learning to foster accountability, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships. The program emphasizes rebuilding trust, improving self-awareness, and developing lifelong coping strategies. With a strong focus on family involvement, Oxbow Academy works to heal relationships and equip students with the tools they need for a successful future.

Safeguard Inc was founded in 2000 and originated in Sacramento California. Safeguard is now based out of Lehi, UT. Safeguard Inc is a transport company for youth and individuals who are going to treatment or academic programs. Along with transports we offer interventions, brief interim housing and other services as part of our effort to assist families and youth. Safeguard Inc. is proud to be a founding member of AMATS (Association of Mediation and Transport Services). We are fully insured and all of our employees are certified in de-escalation techniques through the CRT method. In addition, all of our staff are W2 employees and undergo thorough background checks.

ScenicView Academy is a non-profit transitional school for young adults with autism and other neurodiversities. We empower students with skills to transition into independent, productive, and fulfilling lives. On our college-style campus, students are welcomed into a community designed to appreciate and support neurodivergent individuals.

Who We Serve: Neurodivergent young adults (Autism, ADHD, LD, etc) with the motivation and potential to live and work independently in the community.

Age of Clients: 18 to 30. Our average student is 23-24. Students between the ages of 31-39 may be considered on a case-by-case basis by the admissions committee.

Average Length of Stay: Students spend 1-3 years in our program depending on how quickly they demonstrate the skills taught and complete their individualized transition plan.

Spark Academy is not your typical residential treatment center; it's a specialized environment that feels more like a therapeutic boarding school exclusively designed for neurodiverse teenagers. Our students, ages 13 to 18, often face challenges such as ASD Level 1, NVLD, social communication difficulties, executive functioning deficits, or sensory sensitivities. Many also experience school avoidance, masking behaviors, difficulty maintaining friendships, or a disconnect between processing speed and overall IQ. Mental health diagnoses, including mood and anxiety disorders, frequently accompany these struggles. Over the course of approximately a year, Spark Academy guides students through a transformative journey, helping them build the essential skills they need to thrive in the real world.

The Spark Homestead is a 10-12 month residential program in Payson, Utah, offering a serene and nurturing environment for neurodiverse girls in grades 9-12. Focused on providing a calm, less stimulating setting, Spark Homestead helps students address unique challenges, calm the limbic system, and develop resilience and self-regulation skills. The program fosters a safe, supportive space where students can focus inward, build a positive relationship with themselves, and grow at their own pace. Set on an 8-acre property, the Homestead integrates hands-on activities like gardening, animal care, and project-based academics, allowing girls to develop practical skills and build meaningful connections. By blending natural supports, real-life responsibilities, and opportunities for self-discovery, Spark Homestead empowers students to cultivate a sense of safety, resilience, and community—both within themselves and the world around them.

Striv Forward is a semi-independent young adult program working with struggling to launch young adults. We take young adults struggling due to mood disorders, anxiety, ASD, ADHD, learning issues, social deficits; executive function deficits; mild to moderate behavioral difficulties (i.e. isolation,lack of motivation, self-sabotaging, life skills deficits, etc.); and mild to moderate emotional regulation challenges (i.e., anxiety, under-developed distress tolerance, etc.).

Telos offers five specialized treatment settings dedicated to the health and healing of clinically complex adolescents and young adults. Each program is owner-operated, nationally accredited, and evidence-based.

Telos Academy – A residential treatment center for boys, integrating therapy, brain-based interventions, elite academics, fitness, and seven varsity sports.

Vineyard – A short term residential program for families working exclusively with insurance.

Carter House – A 12-student specialty team focused on substance use treatment.

Geneva Center – A high-structure, high-support residential program for boys struggling in previous settings.

Telos U – A transition program helping coed young adult students complete school, build careers, and gain independence through life skills coaching and therapy.
